About the event
Marcy McChesney's Installation opening at the Blue Star Arts Collective. First Thursday and First Friday of June in the Upstairs Studios, 6-10 pm.
Also mixed media/collage works by members of the Collective inside the studio. Kathleen Baker Pittman will also be showing figurative works on the Upstairs Studios Artist of the Month wall. We will also be open Third Thursday, 6-9 pm and by appt, 210.800.5441. Third Thursday we are having a Lighten Up Appreciation party too!
A message from the artist: I’m excited to announce my art exhibition in June! “Between Two Dimensions” is an Art Exhibition focusing on the stories of several San Antonio residents adapting to a new world of uncertainty during Covid. Collages based on these individuals were created by utilizing photographs, interviews and other visual elements specific to their experiences. This exhibition is made possible by the City of San Antonio Department of Arts and Culture Individual Artist Grant.
