About the event
Un Grito Gallery is pleased to present “Ghost/South Town” a photographic series by Mike “Bugger” Shoemaker. A featured Fotoseptiembre event, this solo exhibition will open Thursday, September 4th and Friday, September 5th, 2025, from 7-10 pm with a closing reception held on September 18th, 2025.
Mike 'Bugger' Shoemaker, grew up on the Southside of San Antonio. Photography has always been an interest, that grew into a passion. He played around with a 35mm Pentax, purchased from a pawn shop for $75. Several digital cameras along the way, Mike eventually bought an entry level Nikon D3500, went to YouTube and friends for advice. After many hours of trial and error, he moved up to a Nikon D800. This solo exhibition is a result of his journey.
