About the event
Un Grito Gallery is exited to present “Jungle Boogie - Plants at a Disco”, a solo exhibition of new works by Avi Avalos. This show will open Thursday, April 2nd, and Friday, April 3rd, 2026, from 7-10 pm with a closing reception held on April 16th, 2026.
Statement
“Art is not just something to produce but it’s a way to live each day appreciating the beauty around us and taking opportunities to care and cultivate beauty. My passion for creating and collecting art has extended to collecting exotic plants. Every new leaf or new bloom is like a brand-new painting no one has seen before and to enjoy that pleasure it takes more than just a purchase, it takes daily attention. I say: Stop and smell all the roses.” “Jungle Boogie” is inspired by imagining a Dico party in the middle of a tropical garden.
