Un Grito Gallery is pleased to present "Piñata Thoughts & Conclusions” an exhibition of recent works by Avi Avalos. This show will open on Thursday, April 3rd, and Friday, April 4th, 2025, from 7-10 pm with a closing reception held on April 17, 2025.
Piñata Thoughts & Conclusions by Avi Avalos features a new body of work where he formally speaks on issues of love, grief, affirmations, protest, and counters Texas history in a humorously playful yet palatable way. The work is presented as mix media paintings and prints with sculpture and of course piñata and plenty of confetti.
Avi Avalos also known as Mr Piñata SA has been a cultural Icon of San Antonio Culture for over a decade. The San Antonio Express-News describes his work as “A hit with just about everyone." Mr Piñata SA is best described as an ongoing performance art piece embodied by Avi Avalos…
