About The Artists:

San Antonians are more likely to associate the creative collaborations between Bridgette Norris-Sanchez and Bobby Rivas with guitars and microphones than paint and canvas. Over the last three years, the majority of the pair’s creative efforts have gone into their eclectic indie rock group, HoneyBunny. However, the two are no strangers to the visual arts. For years, Bridgette Norris Sanchez’ brand ‘Bridge Creations’ has featured her clever and emotionally expressive painting style as well as her prolific career as a cake decorator.

Artists' Statement: From stray cats, thrift shops, Tex Mex tradition and beavis and butthead, these pieces stand to represent the milieu they were created in.  In Plastic Fruit, Rivas and Norris-Sanchez explore and celebrate the gritty kitsch they know to be Americana.
