About the event

Biology of Misbelief is an exhibition of new works by Chris Sauter. The work explores the acceptance and promulgation of misinformation, touching on the role neurotransmitters and hormones play in the development of belief and how beliefs relate to notions of self and national identity. Biology of Misbelief consists of a group of sculptures, drawings and video projections that draw their imagery from molecular models, parasitology, Internet memes, and emblems of group identity This work is funded by a grant from the San Antonio Office of Arts and Culture individual artist grant program.
