At Blue Star Contemporary – a San Antonio-based art gallery and museum that welcomes close to 30,000 visitors on-site ever year and more than 300,000 visitors at off-site exhibitions – special recurring programming focuses on art education for kids.
On Family Saturdays – first launched by BSC Advisory Council Member Penelope Speier in the early 1990s – children can engage directly with artists, learn new skills and spend time with contemporary art, according to BSC Development Manager Elaine Leahy.
