Visual artist James W. Johnson was born in upstate New York and moved to Lubbock in 1978. Since then, he's devoted more than 90,000 hours to his creative output.
Lunatics in the Garden is a collection of Johnson's work owned by longtime friend Marynell Maloney, the late San Antonio attorney. It's been on display in France for the past 30 years.
An exhibition of Lunatics in the Garden opens this Friday at FL!GHT Gallery at the Blue Star Arts Complex, marking the first public display of this body of work in the United States.
